Perfil OSINT

Clément Delangue is co-founder & CEO of Hugging Face (ESCP Business School; born La Bassée, France), who scaled the 'GitHub of AI' into the principal global open-weights distribution channel. On 2026-09-03 he told CNBC he approached NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang over the summer about a deal — 'we realized that Hugging Face and open source AI in general was at the turning point, and that it needed more, more resources, more scale, more visibility' — 'and a few weeks later, here we are.' NVIDIA agreed to acquire Hugging Face for ~$12.9B on 2026-09-03 ($11.9B to shareholders + up to $1B equity retention for HF employees joining NVIDIA; HF to remain an open platform; expected close H1 2027 pending regulatory approvals; antitrust runway + GPU-neutrality of the Hub are the live radar questions). Named at the HF All Hands (~160 participants) where the deal was announced.
